Rental Period

  • When does the rental period start and end?
    The rental period begins on the specified start date and time and ends on the specified end date and time as agreed upon at the time of booking.
  • Can items be delivered or picked up early?
    Yes, items may be delivered or picked up up to 5 days before or after the rental period, weather permitting and subject to delivery availability.
  • What is the 4-day standard rental period?
    All items come with a standard 4-day rental period for customer flexibility. Items can be returned anytime within a 4 day window, during working hours at no additional charge.

Rental Fee and Deposits

  • What is the total rental fee?
    The total rental fee will be outlined in your rental agreement and includes all applicable taxes and charges.
  • What is the security deposit?
    A non-refundable security deposit of 25% of the total rental fee is required upon signing the rental agreement. This deposit secures your reservation.
  • When is the remaining balance due?
    The remaining balance of the rental fee, after the security deposit, must be paid 5 days before the start of the rental period.
  • When will I get my damage deposit back?
    The damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days after the return of the rented items, provided they are returned in good condition and free from damage.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    Fable Events accepts credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. Full payment details will be provided at the time of booking.

Delivery and Pickup

  • How are delivery and pickup scheduled?
    Fable Events will deliver and pick up items at the agreed-upon times, with the right reserved to adjust times due to unforeseen circumstances like weather or logistical challenges.
  • What happens if there are changes to delivery or pickup?
    Any changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible. Fable Events strives to adhere to the original schedule but asks for your cooperation in accommodating any reasonable changes.
  • What are my responsibilities during the rental period?
    You are responsible for ensuring that rented items are accessible for pickup at the agreed-upon time and location.
  • What if I return items early?
    Items returned before the end of the rental period do not entitle you to a refund or adjustment of the rental fee.

Care and Use of Rental Items

  • How should I use the rental items?
    All rented items must be used as intended and with due care. You agree to take reasonable precautions to prevent damage or loss.
  • What condition should items be returned in?
    Items must be returned in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear. Damages or losses may result in additional charges.
  • Do I need to clean the items before returning?
    Yes, rented items must be returned clean and free from debris, except for tableware and linens where specific instructions are provided. Additional cleaning fees may apply if items are not returned clean.

Liability and Indemnification

  • Is Fable Events liable for injuries?
    No, Fable Events shall not be liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages arising from the use of rented items. The customer assumes all responsibility for safe use.
  • What is the indemnification clause?
    The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Fable Events harmless against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses related to the rental and use of items.

Cancellation Policy

  • Are deposits refundable?
    No, all deposits paid, including the security deposit, are non-refundable to ensure the availability and reservation of your rented items.
  • How do I cancel my rental reservation?
    To cancel your reservation, please contact us in writing or via email. Cancellations will be processed according to the terms outlined in your rental agreement.

Item Handling and Organization

  • How should items be organized for pickup?
    If items are delivered stacked, you are responsible for restacking them in the same manner for pickup unless setup and takedown services have been purchased.
  • What are setup and takedown services?
    Fable Events offers optional services where our team will handle the organization of the items for both setup and takedown.
  • What happens if I don't stack items correctly?
    Failure to comply with stacking requirements may result in additional fees.

Governing Law

  • Which laws govern this agreement?
    This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.
  • How are disputes resolved?
    Disputes are first attempted to be resolved through negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, mediation or arbitration may be used as deemed appropriate.

Entire Agreement

  • Does this agreement cover everything?
    Yes, this agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Fable Events and the Customer, superseding all prior agreements or understandings relating to this subject matter.
  • Can the agreement be modified?
    Any modifications or amendments to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
